Origami Technique Workshop
A 2-days Workshop on Origami Technique was conducted for the 3rd-year students of the Fashion Design Department, led by internal faculty from 12th to 13th March, 2025. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the diverse applications of origami in fashion design, enhancing their creative and technical skills. This hands-on session provided an opportunity to explore the principles of folding, texture creation, and three-dimensional form development.
Workshop Details:
The first highlight was the introduction to essential techniques. The workshop was structured into three distinct segments, each focusing on a different origami technique. The faculty provided clear instructions, demonstrations, and individual guidance throughout the session. Lastly, the workshop emphasized practical application, where students worked on individual projects. Students successfully folded representational origami models and understood the precision required for complex folds. They gained insight into how origami can be used to create intricate details and motifs.
