The Department of English and Communication Skills stands as a beacon of academic excellence and innovation. Over the years, the department has evolved into a full-fledged academic unit, offering undergraduate and postgraduate papers in different disciplines that integrate the study of English language, Professional Communication, Soft Skills, Business Communication and Corporate training. The department emphasizes a holistic approach to enhance life skills; in a blended manner, mingling contemporary communication practices with different activity based learning to equip students with versatile skills required to survive in today’s competitive market.
One of the most significant milestones in the department’s journey has been the initiation of a PhD program. This marks a new chapter, transforming the department into a hub of advanced research and intellectual exploration. The PhD program aims to foster ground-breaking research in diverse areas such as literary studies, cultural studies, linguistics, communication theories, and interdisciplinary studies. With a robust curriculum, the program is designed to produce scholars who can contribute meaningfully to academic and professional fields.

Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to blend the richness of English language with the practical demands of communication skills, ensuring that our graduates are well-equipped for a range of careers in academia, media, corporate communication, creative writing, Engineering Pharmacy and beyond. The department is playing an active role in grooming the students and improving their social skills and professional etiquettes. Our teaching pedagogy is blend of guided practice and independent practice with a focus on outcome based language learning.

Computer Assisted Language Learning Lab (CALL Lab)
The computer Assisted Language Lab (CALL Lab) in the Department of English & Communication Lab is a dynamic and innovative facility that aims to enhance the communication skill of our students. Dr. Reshmi Deb Choudhury
Associate Professor, Department of English & Communication Skills, Mandsaur University, Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, India. She comes with a rich and diverse global work experience of 12 years spanning across Technical institutions, Arts colleges & Education Industries. Dr. Reshmi completed her TESOL (an international teaching license) from Westminster College, London. She completed her PhD from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu & MA English from Alagappa University, Karikudi, Tamilnadu.
Assistant Professor
MUBASHIR KP
Assistant professor in the Department of English and Communication Skills in Mandsaur University. He had completed his MA in English and B.Ed. (English). He is UGC-NET qualified and has 7 years of teaching experience. His research areas include Postcolonial and Post Millennial studies as well as ELT in the Indian context. He has attended national and international conferences and presented papers. He has written a chapter in a book with ISBN.

Sneha Kumari
Assistant Professor in the Department of English and Communication Skills in Mandsaur University. She has completed her M.A in English and P.G Diploma in Gender and Women Studies. She is UGC NET and GATE qualified. She has attended national and international conferences and presented papers. Her research areas include Tribal literature, Folk studies and Cultural studies and ELT. She has one plus year of experience as a corporate trainer. She has compiled and edited a poetry anthology.

Shweta Suman
Assistant Professor in the Department of English and Communication Skills in Mandsaur University. She has completed her M.A in English and B.Ed (English). She is UGC NET, GATE and CTET qualified. Her research areas include Folk and Cultural studies as well as ELT in Indian context. She has attended national and international conferences and presented papers. She has published poetry in magazines and anthologies.

Anu Villoth
Assistant Professor in the Dept. of English & Communication Skills in Mandsaur University. She has a Master’s Degree in English Language & Literature & a B.Ed. in English. She is UGC NET qualified and has 4.5 years of teaching experience. She has also qualified CTET & SET. She has presented 7 papers in National & International seminars. She has published 4 papers in UGC Care Journals, 1 paper in an international peer reviewed journal & contributed chapters to 2 ISBN Books. She has participated in 1 National Level FDP & 1 International Level FDP. She has attended 2 UGC Sponsored National seminars & has attended various webinars. Her research areas include Indian Writing in English, Post Millennial studies & ELT, ESL for Business communication.
