About Faculty Of Education

The Faculty of Education would provide learners a wider and more comprehensive understanding of education as a field of knowledge and would accommodate a wide variety of learning needs of learners. It aims at developing professionals for effective participation in educational actions in different areas of education. The department offers an innovative program in education, which emphasizes both disciplinary and professional dimensions of education as an area of study.

The courses also attempt to inculcate spiritual values and social responsibilities in the teachers so that they can impart value-based education to their students. The education department endeavors to provide high quality education and training to meet the ever-growing challenges in education, social needs and provide all round personality development with responsibility, emphasizing on quality, standards, research and innovation for students and faculty. The Department of Education has faculty with a good blend of academics and rich experience in the field of teaching.

The primary object of the university is to upgrade the standard of teacher education, enhance the professional and social status of the teachers and develop amongst them a sense of commitment. Literacy and education are some strong indicators of development in a society. It is an established fact that the quality of education is influenced by the quality of teachers, their commitment and motivation for the teaching profession, their understanding about children’s learning, social expectations, class-room practices and pedagogical alternatives. Therefore, training of teachers becomes an important component for improving the quality of education. Here we provide exceptional opportunities and facilities for teachers’ development and bringing out a perfect amalgamation of academic learning and practical teaching skills. We try to provide more experiential, holistic, integrated, inquiry-driven, discovery-oriented, learner-centered, discussion-based, flexible, and, of course, enjoyable learning experience to pupil teachers. We also encourage them for innovations and innovative ways of learning and teaching. Regularly these teacher-trainees show their talent through Performances, Art Exhibitions, and extracurricular activities.    We educate our learners to build character, enable learners to be ethical, rational, compassionate, and caring, while at the same time prepare them for gainful, fulfilling employment.
