One Day Guest Lecture

The Center of Indian Knowledge System (IKS) at Mandsaur University organized a one-day guest lecture
on the topic “Overview of Indian Knowledge System (IKS), Its Significance and Relevance in Modern
Times.” The lecture aimed to enlighten students, faculty, and scholars on the foundational aspects of India’s
traditional knowledge systems and their relevance in contemporary society.
Objective of the Lecture:
The primary objective was to introduce the audience to the vast and diverse domains of IKS, ranging from
ancient science, mathematics, architecture, agriculture, health systems like Ayurveda, and philosophy, to the
rich literary and cultural heritage of India. The lecture also focused on how these ancient systems can
contribute meaningfully to current global challenges such as sustainability, wellness, and ethical innovation.
