National Sports Day Celebration 2025

On the occasion of National Sports Day 2025 under the guideline of UGC and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Govt. of Indiathe Mandsaur Institute of Physical Education, Mandsaur University, in collaboration (MOU) with the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Mandsaur (M.P.), jointly organized the Net Warriors Volleyball Championship 2025 (Boys) and Tug of War (Girls) as part of the celebrations. The event was conducted under the guidance of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. V.S.S. Kumar  and the Principal, MIPE, Dr. Shamsher Singh  with the objective of promoting physical fitness, team spirit, and the significance of sports in student life.

National Sports Day is celebrated every year in India on 29th August, commemorating the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand Ji, one of the greatest and most legendary hockey players in history.

The program commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Shamsher Singh, Principal, Mandsaur Institute of Physical Education, who presented a bouquet to the Chief Guest Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. V.S.S. Kumar , Mandsaur University. In continuation of the program, Dr. Rohit Sharma, Associate Professor, Mandsaur Institute of Physical Education welcomed by presented a bouquet & Batch to the special guest, Mr. Vijendra Devda, District Sports Officer Mandsaur and Dr. Najmuddin Khan presented a bouquet to  Prof. (Dr.) Arunav Das, Dean of Academics, Mandsaur University. Dr. Rohit Sharma also formally introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering.

Net Warriors Volleyball Championship (Boys)                                                                           Conducted under the supervision of  Dr. Rohit Sharma, Associate Professor, Department of Physical Education, the matches witnessed outstanding energy, determination, and skills from all participating teams. A total of 14 school-level teams participated in the championship.

·         Winner: Subhash H.S. School, Budha

·         1st Runner-up: Shri Sai Public School, Dalauda

·         2nd Runner-up: Smt. Kamala Saklecha Gyan Mandir, Bhanpura

Tug of War (Girls)                                                                                                                                                  Organized successfully under the leadership of  Dr. Shamsher Singh, Principal, and Mr.  Kushargra  Bairagi, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Education, the event showcased the enthusiasm, team spirit, and competitive spirit of the university’s girl’s students. A total of  11 teams participated in the championship.

·         Winner: Department of Forensic Science

·         Runner-up: Department of Pharmacy

The Closing Ceremony was graced by Dr. Dinesh Baboo Tyagi, Director, Agriculture Science, and Dr. Shekhar Jain IQAC Deputy Director . They presented trophies and mementos to the winners and runners-up, motivating the students for their remarkable performances.
