Celebration of World Electric Vehicle Day 

The Urja Club of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department organized the “World Electric Vehicle (EV) Day (09/09/2025)” Celebration to promote awareness and innovation in the field of electric mobility. The event aimed to encourage students to explore sustainable technologies, develop creative ideas, and understand the practical applications of electric vehicles.

1. Inaugural Session

The program commenced with the presence of distinguished faculty members. Dr. (Prof.) B.K. Sharma Sir, Director MUCRE and Dr. Nijamuddin Khan Sir, Dean PhD formally inaugurated the celebration and delivered the opening remarks. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of green energy, the global shift towards sustainable transportation, and the role of young engineers in advancing electric vehicle technology.

2. Expert Talk  

The highlight of the event was an insightful Expert Session, delivered by Er. Rahul Bidawat Sir, DIYGURU MOBILITY PVT. LTD. Noida, India’s leading EdTech platform for Electric Vehicles and Future Mobility.

  • His lecture inspired students to think beyond theory and embrace hands-on learning in emerging fields like EV design, battery management, charging infrastructure, and autonomous mobility.
  • Mr. Bidawat also talk about the new technology BLDC and BMS system in EV’s.
  • The session motivated students to participate in EV-related projects, internships, and skill-development programs to strengthen their career prospects.
  • The lecture highlighted the importance of research and innovation in solving challenges related to EV efficiency, cost reduction, and charging solutions.

3. Poster Presentation

After the lecture, the student poster presentation session was conducted. A total of 13 groups of students actively participated, presenting posters on various themes related to electrical vehicles, sustainable transportation, charging technologies, and future mobility solutions.

  • The presentations were evaluated based on creativity, technical content, clarity, and practical relevance.
  • Students showcased innovative ideas and demonstrated strong research skills, which impressed both faculty and peers.

4. Prize Distribution

Following the presentations, the prize distribution ceremony was held to recognize the best entries:

  • First Prize – Zeenat Ansari & Ayan Mohmmad. (EEE Department)
  • Second Prize – Harshita sagwar & Tashneha Qureshi (FBAC Department)
  • Third Prize – Nilesh Rathore & Bhavyraj singh (EEE & MECH Department)

The winners were awarded certificates and prizes of appreciation for their efforts and creativity.

5. EV Demonstration and Rally

The final segment of the program featured a live demonstration of electric vehicles. Students and faculty witnessed the working models and practical applications of EVs.

  • After the demonstration, an EV rally was organized, beginning from the canteen area and concluding at the mess, symbolizing the spirit of sustainability and the growing adoption of electric mobility.
  • The rally drew attention from across the campus, spreading awareness about eco-friendly transportation solutions. 

Vote of Thanks will be delivered by Dr. Manish Jain, Associate Professor, Department of EEE, at the conclusion of the event.

Dr. Virendra Jain, HoD (EEE), delivered a motivational speech encouraging students to actively participate and showcase their talents. His words inspired confidence, learning, and growth through participation.
