Vidya Vandhan Utsav: A Skill Enhancement Program under Indian Knowledge System

Mandsaur University successfully organized “Vidya Vandan Utsav – A Skill Enhancement Program under the Indian Knowledge System” on February 1, 2025 coordinated jointly by the Department of English & Communication Skills and Department of Business Administration & Commerce. The event aimed at fostering holistic development among students by integrating traditional Indian wisdom with modern education. 

Plethora of activities were conducted as part of the program, including a Debate Competition, Art Exhibition, Singing & Recitation Competition, Essay Writing Competition, and a Quiz on Indian Tradition. A large number of students participated enthusiastically, displaying their talent and deepening their understanding of India’s rich cultural and intellectual traditions. 

Adding to the academic enrichment, Dr. Dinesh Chandra Gupta, Professor, Department of Commerce, Government PG College, Mandsaur, delivered an insightful lecture titled “Role of Indian Knowledge System in Context of Students’ Discipline and Study Based on Recitation of Ramayana and Bhagavad Geeta.” Dr. Gupta highlighted the relevance of Indian scriptures in shaping students’ discipline, values, and academic growth, emphasizing the importance of integrating these teachings into modern education. The winners of various competitions were felicitated, recognizing their efforts and excellence in different domains. The event opened new vistas of learning and enlightenment for students, providing them with a deeper insight into the rich heritage and timeless wisdom of India. Vidya Vandan Utsav reaffirmed Mandsaur University’s commitment to value-based education and skill development through the Indian Knowledge System.
