Tobacco Cessation Awareness Programme
On 28th August 2025, Mr. Aftab Alam Qureshi (Alumnus, Batch 1997–2002) delivered an insightful session on Tobacco Cessation Awareness Programme for the students of B. Pharmacy I & III Semester and Diploma I & II Year. The session was attended by nearly 100 students.
Mr. Qureshi began the session by highlighting the rising concerns of tobacco consumption and its serious impact on youth. He explained in detail the harmful effects of smoking and other forms of tobacco use on physical and mental health. He emphasized how tobacco addiction not only damages vital organs such as lungs, heart, and liver but also affects social, emotional, and financial aspects of an individual’s life.
Through real-life examples and simple explanations, he motivated students to recognize the dangers of smoking and addiction. He also discussed preventive measures, healthy alternatives, and the importance of spreading awareness in society about the risks associated with tobacco use.
