Expert lecture on Time Management and procrastination
Faculty of Business Administration and Commerce at Mandsaur University organized an expert lecture on “Time Management” on 25 July 2025. The session was conducted by Prof. Dr.Monika Dubey, Faculty of IIT Kota.
The lecture provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the critical role that effective time management and overcoming procrastination play in today’s fast-paced academic and professional environment. For all students striving for excellence, mastering these skills is essential. Research shows that poor time management and chronic procrastination can lead to increased stress, missed deadlines, and suboptimal performance—all of which can hinder academic success and long term career growth.
The session explored the challenges and opportunities of this new paradigm, emphasizing how MBA programs demand rigorous coursework, group projects, internships, and networking—all of which require disciplined time management. However, many students struggle with procrastination due to:
∙ Overwhelming workloads, which lead to delayed task initiation.
∙ Perfectionism, causing unnecessary delays in submissions.
∙ Poor prioritization, resulting in last-minute cramming. By addressing these challenges, students know about how to enhance productivity, reduce stress, and achieve better academic and professional outcomes.
