Workshop on Yoga & Meditation for Beginners
In today’s fast-paced world, stress management and mental well-being have become essential for maintaining a balanced lifestyle. This report outlines a comprehensive Yoga and Meditation Workshop aimed at promoting physical health, mental clarity, and emotional resilience among participants. A few minutes of Yoga during the day can be a great way to get rid of stress that accumulates daily-in both the body and mind. Yoga postures, Pranayama techniques are a great way to release stress. Meditation is a relaxation technique which gives calm mind, good concentration and rejuvenation of the body and mind etc.
Keeping the benefits of yoga and meditation in mind, the Department of English and Communication Skills, conducted a workshop entitled “Yoga and Meditation for Beginners” on 24 August, 2024 at Mandsaur International School, Mandsaur. Mr. Abhay Kumar Dixit, Assistant Professor & Yoga teacher started the session with simple relaxation asanas like Padmasana, Bajrasana, Brikshasana, Gomukhasanas, Trikonasas and many others. He also made the partcipants to to do breathing exercises like Anulom Vilom pranayama, Bhramri Pranayama and Meditation exercises to increase their focus and relieve stress.
