Information Technology Department

About Department:-

The department of Information Technology was established in 1999 with an intake of 30. Further the intake was increased from 30 to 60 in the year 2001-02. Presently the department is running undergraduate course i.e. BE and providing excellent facilities to carry out research work in new technologies and consultancy projects.

The department has all the latest technologies of hardware and software with excellent computing facilities for advanced programming, software development, networking, multimedia and hardware technologies. It also has latest audio-visual teaching aids including LCD multimedia projectors and PA systems in all the laboratories.

The department has implemented lab cum classroom teaching concept. In this concept we promote hands on practical training. Each student is allocated with a personal computer exclusively for his/her use for the whole session which results in improved interest in practical, customized interface and thorough hands on expertise on latest technologies. All theory classes and practicals are conducted at lab-cum class for the whole day. Each lab-classroom has seating capacity of 70 students.

Objective of the department

  • To provide skilled manpower to the Software Industry.
  • To promote research and development activities.
  • To establish a consultancy/development cell for software industry.
  • Conduction of periodic expert lectures, seminars & workshops under Industry-Institute Interaction.

Events:-

  • Development of paperless college automation software is in progress.
  • We are planning to start local CISCO academy so that we can train our student in the advanced field of Networking.
